Rs 1m compensation to victim of petrol bomb attack
NIJGADH, NOV 18 - The government has provided compensation of Rs 1 million to the family of truck driver Raju Deuja Chhetri, of Nijgadh-7, Bara, who lost his life in a petrol bomb attack.
According to his relative, Sahadev Dahal, his final rites were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat, Kathmandu on Monday.
Deuja, who was critically injured following the attack, was rushed to Narayani Sub-regional Hospital from where he was referred to Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital TUTH in Kathmandu on Friday. He breathed his last at TUTH on Sunday.
The deceased is survived by his wife, 10-year-old son Nipesh and a 12-year-old daughter Nisha. An unidentified had hurled a petrol bomb at his truck (Na 3 Kha 5697) near the Dudhaura River at Pathlaiya- Nijgadh road stretch on Thursday.
