Prez Yadav urges public to cast vote enthusiastically
Achievements of first CA can not be ignored

KATHMANDU, NOV 18 - President Ram Baran Yadav has urged the general public to cast vote in the Constituent Assembly election , scheduled for tomorrow, without fear.
While mentioning that the first CA transformed Nepal into a democratic republic, President Yadav said that the onus of the second CA was to successfully draft the new constitution while protecting the achievements of the earlier CA.
In a press statement issued today, President Yadav opined that that there can not be a better alternative than CA to realise the public dream of writing constitution on their own.
'I expect that all the political parties, candidates, and general public will make best use of their voting rights," read the statement.
The President was of the opinion that only political practice without election could not represent the public aspiration. He added that all the Nepalis should unite and give the message to the international community that we were capable by making the second CA election a success.
"We are sad that the first CA could not draft the constitution ," read the statement further," However, we can not forget some of the important achievements made by the first CA."
President Yadav acknowledged the successful integration of the former Maoist combatants and the conclusion of the peace process.
