Regmi calls on pepole to celeberate Nov 19 as special occassion
KATHMANDU, NOV 04 - Chairman of the Interim Election Government, Khil Raj Regmi , has said the Constituent Assembly (CA) election is a composite solution to all the problems existing in the country.
Addressing a special function 'Vintuna Samaroha' organised by Nepal Sambat Nhuda National Celebration Committee on the occasion of the new year of Nepal Sambat 1134, Chairman Regmi stressed the need of successfully holding the November 19 election to take the country on a right track by establishing political stability.
He urged the people to take the CA election as a special opportunity for using their right to choose their representatives given by the constitution.
Saying that the government has completed all the preparations for the election, Chairman Regmi said the government has launched a special security plan to conduct the election in a free, fair and impartial atmosphere.
Some people, groups and other election boycotting forces are intending to create a sense of insecurity among the people by carrying out unnatural and anti-election activities, he said the government is committed to control such activities.
"Taking part in election or not is a personal choice of anyone, but none is allowed to create violence in the society and obstructions to others who want to participate in the election. Such move is against the interest of the people and is unpardonable," he said.
"Anti-election statements being given to public when a ground for conducting the election has already been gained are just fabricated and ill-intended," the Chairman said.
He urged the people not to believe any anti-election matters and take part in the election with full confidence and patience as it is the current need of the nation.
"We Nepali are rich in view of cultural diversity as Nepal is home to various castes and communities and such multi-cultural characteristics of the Nepali society has woven us in a single garland," he added.
Giving a national recognition to the Nepal Sambat, the government has announced public holiday on this day, Chairman Regmi said, giving assurances of conserving and protecting such cultural festivals in the future, too.
Earlier, a rally was taken out by the Committee from Basantapur, Chikamugal, Jaisidewal, Bhimsensthan and Naradevi in Kathmandu. On the occasion, the Vintuna best wishes message extended by the President was also read out.
