Defer election date for a time being: Lekhi

KATHMANDU, NOV 01 -

Raj Kumar Lekhi-led Rastriya Nagarik Party has demanded that the Constituent Assembly should be conducted by including CPN-Maoist, among other parties.

It has said that the election date should be deferred for a time being for the same.

Issuing a press statement on Friday, Chairman Lekhi said that his party's proposal was the formula for consensus.

He said the election process should be initiated following consensus with dissident parties and that the provision should be made to give the candidacy rights to those newly included parties.

He has also proposed to either form new consensus government till the polls or letting Khij Raj Regmi resign from the Chief Justice post
