CPN-Maoist vandalise car, bike in Dang
DANG, NOV 01 - Two vehicles were vandalised in Dang on Friday, the first day of the two-day general strike called by the CPN-Maoist in Western region.
CPN-Maoist cadres vandalised a car (Bhe 1 Cha 1018) owned by one Bharat Shrestha at Traffic junction of Ghorahi, the district headquarters. The windowpane of the car was damaged after the agitating vandals hurled stone at the vehicle.
Likewise, a motorbike of Urban Development and Building Division Office, Ghorahi, engineer Rajendra Khatiwada was vandalisied. The front portion of the bike was damaged.
Police said they have been searching for the vandals though they have not been identified.
The CPN-Maoist enforced a two-day shutdown in districts from Lumbini to Seti in protest against the November 19 Constituent Assembly (CA) polls and demanding the release of its cadres arrested by police.
Vehicular movement have come to a grinding halt, industries have remained shut. But the market places have opened after 12.
