Man hacks wife to death, children critically injured

RUKUM, JUN 12 - A 42-year-old man hacked his wife to death and injured three children, two sons and a daughter, here at Nuwakot VDC-8 in the district on Monday night.
According to District Police Office, Rukum, Bhim Lal Oli murdered his wife Pabitra, 42, and indiscriminately attacked the children with Khukuri and injured them. Bimala, 18, Tulsiram, 15, and Prem, 10, sustained deep cut injuries in their heads and necks.
Seriously injured siblings were airlifted to Kathmandu by Nepal Army helicopter after the primary treatment at a local clinic.
"Our preliminary investigation confirms the murder. Police have initiated further investigation into the matter," said DSP Rajendra Prasad Bhatta. He said the suspect is on the run after the incident.  
The perpetrator attacked the victims while they were asleep. Police suspect that he might have attacked them following family dispute.
