Marijuana plants destroyed in Siraha

SIRAHA, DEC 30 -

The District Police Office (DPO), Siraha has destroyed illegal marijuana plantation on a total of 16 bigha five kaththa land in 19 different VDCs in the district under the ´Illegal Marijuana Destruction Campaign, 2013´.

According to the DPO, Siraha, special police teams were mobilized for this purpose and the teams destroyed the marijuana plants illegally cultivated by people as mixed crop with pulses and sugarcane in these VDCs.

Some 222 thousand 570 marijuana plants were destroyed under the campaign that began on December 16, police said. The drive to destroy illegal marijuana plantation would continue for some more days, it is stated. RSS
