BBC NEWS
A man is to appear in court in Dublin charged with the murder of a religion researcher.

Thomas O'Gorman, 39, was severely beaten and stabbed to death at his home in Beechpark Avenue, Castleknock.

Police described his death as "gruesome", and believe the killing was linked to a dispute over the movement of a chess piece during a game.

A 34-year-old Italian man who works in Dublin has been charged with murder.

Detectives were called to the house at about 01:50 GMT on Sunday.
