KATHMANDU, NOV 20 -
Vote count of Kathmandu constituency 1, 2 and 4 has begun at Constituent Assembly building in New Baneshwor.
Fierce competition is expected in Kathmandu 4 where Nepali Congress youth leader Gagan Thapa is squaring against Nanda Kishor Pun of UCPN (Maoist). UML has fielded Nirmal Kuinkel in the constituency.
Likewise, vote counting of Kathmandu-2 where UML leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is contesting against Pratima Gautam of Nepali Congress and Lila Mani Pokhrel of UCPN (Maoist). Nepal had lost in the constituency in 2008 election to UCPN (Maoist)'s Jhakku Prasad Subedi.
Similarly, Nepali Congress General Secretary Prakash Man Singh is the candidate in Kathmandu-1 where UCPN (Maoist) has fielded Renu Dahal, also the daughter of party Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal. Bidhya Neupane is UML's candidate in the constituency.
