Police thrash UML cadre in Rolpa

ROLPA, NOV 18 - A CPN-UML cadre was brutally beaten up by police at Holeri in Rolpa district on Sunday night, the party has claimed. The party has said that its cadre Kul Bahadur Buda was beaten while he sleeping at local Jaljala hotel. UML Rolpa candidate Kumar Dashaudi said that police called Buda outside the hotel and brutally thrashed him. "Our party strongly condemns such act," Dashaudi said. The party has informed that Buda's back bone might be broken. He has also sustained injuries in his left eye. Police, however, said that they had to use force against Buda's vile manner. Police has also charged him of pelting stones at UCPN (Maoist) district office at Holeri. Constable Hurmat Adhikari has been taken into custody for his involvement in the act. Buda, meanwhile, has been taken to Nepalgunj for further treatment.
