NA men defuse socket bomb in Surkhet
SURKHET, NOV 01 -
A bomb disposal team of Nepal Army defused a socket bombplanted at Birendranagar Chowk in Surkhet district on Friday morning.
The bomb has been recovered following the CPN-Maoist two-day banda in the district. NA men defused the bomb after the locals informed about it, said police.
According to police, the CPN-Maoist might have planted bomb to make their banda successful.
Meanwhile, CPN-Maoist district in charge Chakrapani Sharma has said that the party has not planted bomb. He claimed that the party has the policy to conduct peaceful protest and has no policy to plant bomb and terrify people.
The CPN-Maoist called banda to disrupt UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's election campaign in Surkhet.
Normal life has been crippled in the district due to the banda.
