Maintain smooth supplies during elections: Regmi

    KATHMANDU, NOV 07 - Chairman of Interim Election Government, Khil Raj Regmi has directed the authorities concerned to prevent any shortage of supply during the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.
    In a meeting held at Sigha Durbar regarding smooth supply of commodities and operation of vehicles, Regmi directed the authorities to maintain smooth supply of daily commodities and to operate public transports without obstruction in view of the CA elections. He also appealed everyone to stay away from boycotting the elections.
    Regmi urged the private sector to operate factories and business institutions and the public vehicles to operate without worrying about small damages. He informed that the government is making preparations to provide compensation in case of case of any incidents.
    During the meeting, Home minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire informed that strong and reliable security arrangements and rapid response arrangement to protect the lives and property of the people have been made.
    The Home Ministry is committed to take action against anyone who tries to take the law into their own hands, stifle the rights of people and cause disturbances during the elections.
    Chief Secretary Lila Mani Poudel has said that people should move collectively against Bandas and Strikes.
