KATHMANDU, NOV 16 - Nepal have pulled off a mighty chase against Kenya defeating them by six wickets in their second match at the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier played in Dubai on Saturday.
In a game being played at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai today, Nepal won the toss and elected to field first. Nepal i bowlers started off well picking up four wickets when Kenya had scored just 32 runs on the board.
However, the onslaught from RR Patel, who scored a 44-ball hundred, disturbed the rhythm of Nepal i bowlers as they ended up conceding 182 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.
Though Nepal i opener Pradeep Airee was dismissed cheaply for one run, other opener Subash Khakurel and vice captain Gyanendra Malla steadied the ship with a fluent 82 runs partnership for the second wicket.
Malla made 32 runs in 22 balls before returning back to the pavilion.
Meanwhile, skipper Paras Khadka has arrived at the crease and has made 17 runs with Khakhurel still at the crease with 53 runs.
In a game played yesterday, Nepal had started their campaign with a comfortable 5 wicket win over Denmark.

Nepal will have to finish at the top six of the 16-nation tournament to secure their berth for the ICC Twenty 20 World Cup to be played in Bangladesh next year.
