Gretna Green service station Waitrose store promises jobs

Gretna Green service station Waitrose store promises jobs

Waitrose is to open its first Scottish service station branch at the end of the month at Gretna Green in Dumfries and Galloway.
It follows a deal between the supermarket firm and Welcome Break.
Waitrose currently has six full-scale stores in Scotland with plans for another two in the pipeline.
A company spokesman said it was "delighted" to open its first service station site north of the border, which it said would create 16 jobs.
The announcement came the day after another retailer opened a store in Dumfries and Galloway.
The Range opened in Dumfries in a move it said would bring more than 100 jobs to the town.
