Garrix beats Lily Allen to number one spot 

Lily Allen released another new track this week, entitled Hard Out Here

Here Lily Allen has missed out on another UK number one single with her cover of Keane's Somewhere Only We Know. 

The track, used in this year's John Lewis Christmas advert, sold 12,000 fewer copies than Animals, the debut single from Dutch DJ Martin Garrix. The 17-year-old said claiming the top spot in this week's chart was "really beyond expectations". Ellie Goulding's BBC Children in Need single How Long Will I Love You? enters the rundown at number three. In the album chart, Lady Gaga claims the number one spot for the third time with her new release Artpop. Its success comes at the expense of Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which falls to number two after one week in pole position. Celine Dion has the second-highest new entry of the week with Loved Me Back To Life, her highest-charting album since 2002. Little Mix's album Salute is another new entry at four, while Elvis Presley features at five with compilation album The Nation's Favourite Elvis Songs. Sir Cliff Richard's The Fabulous Rock 'N' Roll Songbook is another new entry at number seven. Its position means that this week is the first time in 36 years that he and Presley have both featured in the Official Albums Chart Top 10.
