Driver arrested over Boosbeck death of Nathan Smith, 7


A man has been arrested after a seven-year-old boy was fatally injured by a van in East Cleveland.
Nathan Smith was struck by a Peugeot van after he got off a bus with his mother and a sibling in Boosbeck High Street, near Redcar, on Friday.

The youngster, from Lingdale, was taken to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital but died later.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed.
Police have appealed to passengers who were on the 4B Arriva bus to Skelton and who may have seen what happened to contact them.
