$3,000 succour for orphan students

KATHMANDU, NOV 07 -

Kentucky Nepal Society US has donated $3,000 to Paropkar Organisation in Kathmandu. A group of Nepalis residing in the US state of Kentucky raised the fund to help orphan students studying at Paropakar Organisation.

Handing over the amount to Hitkar Bir Singh Kansakar, chairman of Paropakar Organisation at a function recently, representative of the society Pravin Manandhar said, “Nepali society in the US will try and raise more funds to help fund education, shelter, food and health of the orphan children in Nepal. If Nepalis residing in US feel the need to help the orphans in Nepal it can raise a lot of money in future.”

Kansakar said the organisation, established in the year 1947, has been operated purely on Nepali donations and support.

General Secretary of the organisation Dr. Damar Bahadur Nepali said the organisation has given opportunity for the orphans to excel in all sectors
