Five held with 125 Kg marijuana

DHANUSHA, JUN 09 - A team of Armed Police Force (APF) arrested five smugglers with 125 Kg marijuana from Kankapati of Dhanusha on Saturday. An Indian man and five Nepali women were held with the contraband drugs they were being ferried to Jayanagar in India from Janakpur railway.
Acting on a tip-off provided by SP Subarna Thapa Magar, of Dhanusha district, the APF team arrested the drug dealers from the area that lies five kilometres away from Janakpur. All those arrested have been handed over to Dhanusha District Administration along with the marijuana.
The arrestees have been identified as Niyaj Alam, 24, a resident of Sabaihataka in Bihar state of India, Bedani Patel, 35, Kailasi Devi Musaharni, 40, of Hardaspur in Bara district, Usha Musalman and Khushbu Pathan, of Ratanpur in Bara.
The authorities have been carrying out further investigation into the case.
Alam informed that the marijuana brought from Jitpur would be handed over to a person with Paswan surname of Jayanagar. They said they only work as porters for IC Rs 1200.
