Ganesh Lama , a ‘gangster’ who is accused of amassing property disproportionate to his income, on Friday received a Special Court letter which asks him to be present before the Kathmandu District Court within 15 days.
The Special Court sent the letter to Lama after the Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DoMLI) filed a complaint against him, Special Court Spokesperson Dhir Bahadur Chand said.
The DoMLI, referring to the investigation report prepared by the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police, had lodged complaints against five gangsters—Lama, Dipak Manange, Milan Gurung alias Chakre, Parshu Ram Basnet and Abhisek Giri. Manange and Giri are still at large and the court has sought Rs 20 million and Rs 10 million from Basnet and Chakre, respectively.
