A 71-year-old man has been arrested as part of the Operation Pallial investigation into historical abuse at north Wales children's homes.
It is the 19th arrest in the operation by National Crime Agency officers.
The man from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assaults against two boys between 1977 and 1985, when they were aged between 13 and 15 years old.
The man has been taken to a local police station for questioning.
