BABIYACHAUR, DEC 01 - Education Minister Madhav Poudel has said the successful completion of the Constituent Assembly (CA) election has given a political way out from the crisis facing the nation.
Putting forth his views at the inaugural ceremony of a newly constructed building of the District Education Office Myagdi at Jyamarukkot-8, Minister Poudel, who is also the spokesperson of the interim council of ministers, said the atmosphere for establishing political stability and drafting a new constitution has been created with the completion of the CA election.
"The incumbent government has successfully completed its task of holding the CA election no matter in which condition and context it was formed," he said, adding the election has given an outlet to the nation from the prolonged political crisis.
He expressed his hope that political parties would form a new constitution by using their conscience and bearing in mind the necessities of the country in the near future.
"The government is planning to enforce a bill on free and compulsory education in the future with a view to eradicating illiteracy from the country. Such bill will include a provision which will prevent citizens not passing grade eight to join the government service," the Education Minister said.
Minister Poudel, who is also the Minister for Information and Communications, informed that preparations were being made to make community schools WiFi-free zone. He stressed that there should be an easy access to information technology in the education sector. RSS
