Scientist Bajracharya passes away

KATHMANDU, NOV 11 - Scientist and former Vice Chancellor of National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) Dr.Dayananda Bajracharya passed away on Monday. He was 69.

Dr. Bajracharya was suffering from pulmonary disease and was undergoing treatment at Om Hospital in Chabahil for the same.

Bajracharya, who completed his Ph.D degree from The University of Freiburg in Germany, served as the vice chancellor of NAST for two terms. He was also a former rector at Tribhuvan University.

He is survived by a wife, a son and a daughter.
