I see the next SRK in my son, says Shah Rukh Khan

You’d think there couldn’t be another Shah Rukh Khan, but the actor himself doesn’t think so. The actor who turned 48 on November 2, says that he sees the next Shah Rukh Khan in his son AbRam. Asked who in the young set of actors has the capability to be the next him, he says: “I see the next SRK in AbRam, but it will take time.”

This year, for King Khan, has been all about small things. “Each year, we run around to achieve something big, whether it’s big films, awards...I know it is all important, but it’s been 22 years and I have decided to focus on the small things. In the race to catch big things, we miss out the small things.”

And that obviously means more family time. “This year, I want to spend time with my family. I look forward to spending quality time with my children. They are growing older and getting busy in their own lives, and I am trying to get into it. So, I have dedicated this year for that small little happiness,” he adds.

That is not to say, however, that he has turned complacent on the career front. “On the professional front, I have not achieved everything. There is a long way to go. I try to get better with my each film and I will continue to do that till my last breath,” says Khan, also reiterating that he is not looking to fuel any enmity with anyone.

Asked when audiences would see him share the screen with his rival Salman Khan, Shah Rukh says: “You should ask producers and directors if they want to cast us together. If we get an opportunity, why not? There is no ego issues between us. It’s just that our paths are different. We know each other for years, I know his family well. So let’s see.”
