Election only way to end Regmi's govt tenure: Nembang
DAMAK, NOV 05 -
Former Constituent Assembly Chairman Subash Nembang has said that conduction of election was the only way to end the tenure of incumbent Khil Raj Regmi-led government.
Speaking to eKantipur at Damak, Jhapa, on Tuesday, Nembang said that there were no other alternatives to oust the current government. Nembang, who had been claiming the Regmi's government as unconstitutional, said that it would be better to seek an exit to the government rather than criticizing it.
"Let's not look back. Election is the only way to oust the Regmi-led government. So parties seeking an exit to the current government should take part in election ," Nembang said.
The CPN-UML leader also said that the government should invite the poll-opposing parties for dialogue without any further delay. He said that the demands of poll-opposing alliance led by Mohan Baidhya should be discussed. "To ensure their participation inelection , we should discuss their demands," he said.
Nembang also claimed that election conducted with a large group standing in its opposition will not end the transitional period of the country.
