Nepal gets Delhi invite
KATHMANDU, JUL 19 -
CPN (UML) senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is due to leave forNew Delhi on the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday.
Nepal will be accompanied by UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel and former Foreign Affairs advisor Rajan Bhattarai.
Nepal will embark on five-day long India visit from Wednesday.
Nepal is scheduled to meet Indian leaders and participate in one of the programmes to be organised at the Naland University in Bihar state.
The invitation comes just a month after senior Nepali Congress leader and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's visit to India.
Likewise, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Puspha Kamal Dahal had also visited India in a much-hyped sojourn through April 27-30 and met Indian Prime Minister Singh and External Affairs Minister Salman Khursid, among others.
New Delhi is also mulling over the idea to invite some leaders from the Madhesi Morcha.
