Sita Air suffers minor crash in Humla No human casualties


HUMLA, JUN 01 -
An aircraft of Sita Air suffered a minor crash while landing at Simikot Airport in Humla District on Saturday morning.
The aircraft 9HAHB that took off from Nepalgunj with cargo forHumla crashed at around 7.10 this morning.
According to Parshuram Chaudhary, station manager at Nepalgunj, the aircraft crashed after its wings hit the wall while landing due to thick fog.
Left  wing of the aircraft has been damaged in the incident. However, no human casualties have been reported so far.
Five persons including two crew members—Captain Kiran Bhattarai and Co-pilot Deepak Shah-- were on the board.
Earlier in  September 28, 2012, 19 people died when a Dornier Aircraft, 9N AHA of Sita Air, crashed at the banks of Manohara River in Thimi-16 of Bhaktapur district.
